BOXER
BOXER - OPTIMUM PROTECTION AND HIGH MOBILITY
The expanded range of tasks of the German army requires optimally protected, highly-mobile transport vehicles that can be reliably used under extremely adverse environmental conditions with a high payload capacity.
The BOXER meets these demands head on. Its comprehensive protection system against mines and ballistic threats based on cutting-edge technology ensure maximum crew survival. High mobility, stealth design, modern observation devices, powerful self-defensive weaponry, a rocket launching system and a standard NBC and air-conditioning system are additional key elements of survivability in critical situations.
Adaptable to different missions
The BOXER's tried-and-true modular construction creates an ideal, highly-flexible system platform for a wide range of missions. The high payload capacity and large, fully-protected interior enable the integration of complex armaments and offer future-oriented expansion options. Proven drive and chassis components ensure excellent mobility on the road and off-road. Quick availability in out-of-area missions is ensured by its transportability in the Airbus A 400 M.
KMW produces the BOXER armored personnel carrier jointly with national and international partners through the ARTEC joint venture.
