The expanded range of tasks of the German army requires optimally protected, highly-mobile transport vehicles that can be reliably used under extremely adverse environmental conditions with a high payload capacity.The BOXER meets these demands head on. Its comprehensive protection system against mines and ballistic threats based on cutting-edge technology ensure maximum crew survival. High mobility, stealth design, modern observation devices, powerful self-defensive weaponry, a rocket launching system and a standard NBC and air-conditioning system are additional key elements of survivability in critical situations.
