Small Arms Simulator

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann

Military users of KMW Training & Simulation (T&S) gunnery and combat simulators suggested that the software developed for vehicle operator training should also be used for small arms training. The technical solutions available on the market are in most cases very limited in their capabilities to generate complex operational scenarios that are demanding from both military and visual perspectives. So, why not use the existing, efficient battlefield simulation with all its dynamic effects and computer-generated forces?
KMW T&S collaborates with various manufacturers of live training systems in order to be able to offer the necessary small arms technology (recoil, target tracking, ballistics, dispersion pattern) in a cost-efficient way and with extremely high simulation quality.

Different types of pistols, rifles, machine guns, sniper rifles and recoilless rifles can be linked to KMW T&S combat simulation systems.

The SUS-RB57 system is a virtual gunnery simulator for the new generation of the fire-and-forget anti-tank missile from the Swedish company of SAAB Bofors currently being delivered to the customer. Training with this system can be conducted with the weapon in the single-weapon mode or in combination with up to six weapons including target designation in front of Cinemascope imagery.
