Appropriately confronting every threat
New technology, added flexibility and improved survivability
For more than 50 years now, Krauss-Maffei Wegmann has been developing and producing effective armament systems that enable vehicle crews to react appropriately to practically any threat
situation. For vehicles and tactical forces, the integration of KMW armament systems means additional security and a wider range of options for action, especially in today's tactical
situations.

Modularity
The remote control light weapon stations (FLW 100 / 200) are entirely modular. A standardised interface enables the weapon system to be integrated quickly and safely for the calibres 5.56/7.62/12.7
mm up to 40 mm AGL (FLW 100 cal. 5.56 und 7.62 mm). Interface and operating software permit a weapon system to be changed in a matter of minutes.
Flexibility
Thanks to the simple adaptation without roof opening and their low weight, the FLW 100/200 can be employed across almost all vehicle types and also autonomously. The same weapon station, for
example, can be moved from a MBT to a low-protection patrol vehicle. Automatic vehicle detection, weapons, optronic module, standardised operating and display concept, as well as cross-system
standardised interfaces and an efficient safety and test system guarantee simple integration and operability.
Optronic module
Modular optronic sensor systems also guarantee optimised field surveillance, target acquisition and combat by day, night and under poor visibility. The system comprises a high-resolution CCD colour
camera with zoom, a powerful thermal imaging device (cooled or non-cooled), a unique image fusion function and a laser rangefinder for modular surveillance, operating and display concept of the
weapon stations.
KMW hat den Brückenlegepanzer LEGUAN
auf Basis der Kampfpanzer LEOPAR D 1 oder
LEOPAR D 2 bereits für die norwegischen,
griechischen, belgischen und finnischen
Streitkräfte realisiert. Das Verlegesystem
kann jedoch auch auf andere gebrauchte oder
neue Fahrgestelle von Kampfpanzern aufgebaut
werden. So ist es zum Beispiel auch
auf Fahrgestellen des polnischen PT91, des
U.S.-amerikanischen M1 „Wolverine“ und dem
M47/M60 in Spanien im Einsatz. Die Brücke
lässt sich auch von Radfahrzeugen wie zum
Beispiel dem 8x8 der MAN und dem 10x10
