Protection & flexibility in deployment
The GFF4 vehicle family from Krauss-Maffei Wegmann redefines protection and flexibility for vehicles in its class. The safety cell, which connects the driver cab and storage area, protects the vehicle crew and more than four tons of payload from hits, mines and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). The multifunctional, fully protected storage area with a volume of more than 17 m³ results in optimised flexibility and a wide range of variants. With an overall weight of up to 25 tons and an extremely capable off-road chassis, the GFF4 offers outstanding tactical mobility in tactical operations.

The continuos safety cell ensures optimised protection from the full range of threats for both the crew as well as the armament and other equipment. With its optimised IED protection, the GFF4 is the ideal response to current and future threats to armed forces.

Mobility and reliability
GFF4's outstanding mobility is based on an IVECO chassis that fulfills military requirements. This ensures a cost-effective and simple logistics supply – at any deployment site in the world.

KMW hat den Brückenlegepanzer LEGUAN auf Basis der Kampfpanzer LEOPAR D 1 oder LEOPAR D 2 bereits für die norwegischen, griechischen, belgischen und finnischen Streitkräfte realisiert. Das Verlegesystem kann jedoch auch auf andere gebrauchte oder neue Fahrgestelle von Kampfpanzern aufgebaut werden. So ist es zum Beispiel auch auf Fahrgestellen des polnischen PT91, des U.S.-amerikanischen M1 „Wolverine“ und dem M47/M60 in Spanien im Einsatz.
