Multimissiondeployment range
The MUNGO family of air-portable vehicles is tailored specifically to the requirements of highly-mobile airborne forces: airportable in a CH53 or CH47,
protected, highly-mobile, multi-purpose and logistically easy to supply. Weighing just 5.3 tons overall, the MUNGO can transport ten fully equipped soldiers. The MUNGO is the ideal solution for
deploying airportable forces in crisis situations. The vehicle can be disarmed for loading on a CH53 or CH47 transport helicopter or armed for deployment in only five minutes. C130 and A400M
transport aircraft can even be used for transporting two or three MUNGOs together with their ten-man crew. The MUNGO can also be transported by helicopter as an external load.
MUNGO Variant 2: Multipurpose vehicle
In the so-called Variant 2, the MUNGO enables the multifaceted deployment of specialised duties such as supply, maintenance, NBC detection, engineering or medical services. The
airportable vehicle is equipped with integrated high-performance hydraulics, a flexible lift and transport system (FlexTrans) and a quick-change system. This makes the MUNGO a multipurpose vehicle;
for example, a munitions transporter, a fuel tanker, workshop and dumper vehicle or a mobile, air-conditioned and armoured command post with a ground control station container for the LUNA
reconnaissance system.
MUNGO Variant 3: Large space cabin
In Variant 3, the MUNGO is equipped with a continuous and completely protected large space cab. The usable volume is eight cubic metres. As an armaments carrier, it can thus cover a
broad range of missions for armoured command and multipurpose vehicles.
The MUNGO family of airportable vehicles is tailored specifically to the requirement of highly-mobile airportable forces.

KMW hat den Brückenlegepanzer LEGUAN
auf Basis der Kampfpanzer LEOPAR D 1 oder
LEOPAR D 2 bereits für die norwegischen,
griechischen, belgischen und finnischen
Streitkräfte realisiert. Das Verlegesystem
kann jedoch auch auf andere gebrauchte oder
neue Fahrgestelle von Kampfpanzern aufgebaut
werden. So ist es zum Beispiel auch
auf Fahrgestellen des polnischen PT91, des
U.S.-amerikanischen M1 „Wolverine“ und dem
M47/M60 in Spanien im Einsatz. Die Brücke
lässt sich auch von Radfahrzeugen wie zum
Beispiel dem 8x8 der MAN und dem 10x10
