The CHEETAH self-propelled anti-aircraft gun system (SPAAG) is a high-end, all-weather weapon system for use against the threat of low-flying aircraft. As a general contractor, KMW has mass-produced 570 systems of this type, which have been deployed in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium and Romania. Beyond that, KMW Services offers solutions for training, simulators as well as for workshop equipment, documentation, spare parts supply and local customer service.

Ready for Current and Future Threats
Since the beginning of the programme, KMW has been responsible for the overall CHEETAH system, including technical and logistical assistance. The CHEETAH system has been modernized as regards combat range, accuracy, reaction time, protection, reliability and ergonomics, and it thus fulfills the requirements of the 21st century in defending against modern combat aircraft, combat helicopters, missiles and rockets.

KMW hat den Brückenlegepanzer LEGUAN auf Basis der Kampfpanzer LEOPAR D 1 oder LEOPAR D 2 bereits für die norwegischen, griechischen, belgischen und finnischen Streitkräfte realisiert. Das Verlegesystem kann jedoch auch auf andere gebrauchte oder neue Fahrgestelle von Kampfpanzern aufgebaut werden. So ist es zum Beispiel auch auf Fahrgestellen des polnischen PT91, des U.S.-amerikanischen M1 „Wolverine“ und dem M47/M60 in Spanien im Einsatz.
