Airportable artillery system
The development of the AGM by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann represents a general technological leap forward in the field of intelligent weapon systems. Based on the extensive experience garnered with the PzH2000, the AGM is an unmanned, fully-automatic and platform independent artillery gun module. The 155 mm / L52 ordnance satisfies the mission requirements and operational realities of international armed forces.

Depending on the weight of the carrier vehicle, the AGM can be strategically deployed by aircraft and is hence a mobile tactical component.

As a fast-deployment fire support component, the AGM is used as part of evacuation missions, regional peace-keeping operations or show-of-force scenarios wherever air support or the use of heavy forces is unfeasible, unavailable or too costly. This makes the AGM an innovative system complementary to the PzH 2000.

KMW hat den Brückenlegepanzer LEGUAN auf Basis der Kampfpanzer LEOPAR D 1 oder LEOPAR D 2 bereits für die norwegischen, griechischen, belgischen und finnischen Streitkräfte realisiert. Das Verlegesystem kann jedoch auch auf andere gebrauchte oder neue Fahrgestelle von Kampfpanzern aufgebaut werden. So ist es zum Beispiel auch auf Fahrgestellen des polnischen PT91, des U.S.-amerikanischen M1 „Wolverine“ und dem M47/M60 in Spanien im Einsatz.
